How Coronavirus lockdown is ridding pollution and wildlife has benefited from the lockdown.

The Covid-19 pandemic is threatening lives and economies around the world, the novel coronavirus sweeps across the planet leaving many death across the world. With humans self isolating in their homes, researches have warned corona-virus is proving more deadly in area with high air pollution.  Many Governments put  the lockdown policy that has meant a dramatic fall in air pollution, it claims there has been a significant decrease in Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) a noxious gas emitted by motor vehicles, industrial facilities, and power plants due to economic slowdown following the outbreak. This shows that it is easy to overlook chronic, long term health threats such as air pollution, and thus harder to muster an adequate response.

With humans self-isolating in their homes, animals that usually stay away from urban areas now have space to roam

The reduction in NO2 was first apparent near Wuhan, according to NASA scientists as China was the first country to put the quarantine in place and then around the world. Marshall Burke, Earth systems Professor used data from U.S government sensors in four Chinese cities and revealed that the reduction in pollution meant thousand of people were saved from the virus.

The coronavirus is zoonotic disease, meaning it transmitted from animals to humans, due to drop in outside noise and a sharpening of human attention to the outside world, zoo animals are getting sick and missing human attention, many animals carry diseases and are potential sources of viruses, this is important to know to help us to prevent future outbreaks. Tourism activities around the world are crossed including zoos and other major businesses are shutdown. However an expected side effect of the pandemic Air quality and pollution continues to clear and in some part of the world ridding the earth's skies.

Researchers claim that there is decrease in Air pollution due to the lockdown

On one planet, all species, countries and geopolitical issues are ultimately interconnected, climate change, biodiversity loss and financial collapses do not observe national or even physical borders. these problems can be managed only through collective action that starts long before they become full brown crises.Through world Health Organization and their partners guidance developed on the prevention of infection, testing, treatment of cases and clinical services as well as supplying laboratory activities. When factories and airplanes comeback emissions will inevitably pick backup therefore let us not forget individual action that stop pollution, that would yield a collective positive impact on protecting our ecosystem.
